I’m Caylie Reilly, a production designer, director, and art director from New Jersey with a passion for visual storytelling. I’ve always been drawn to the visual side of filmmaking, and production design gives me the opportunity to build the worlds that stories take place in. I love the process of shaping an environment, choosing textures, colors, and details, and creating a visual tone that supports the characters and the narrative.

For me, design is about more than just how something looks. It’s about how a space feels and how it influences the energy of a scene. Every object, location, and visual choice can help communicate something about the story or the people within it. I enjoy working closely with directors, cinematographers, and the rest of the creative team to make sure every element of the frame contributes to the overall atmosphere of the film.

Alongside design, I’m also drawn to directing because it allows me to shape the bigger creative vision of a project. I’m interested in projects that are visually driven and emotionally grounded, where design, performance, and camera movement all work together to create an immersive experience. Whether I’m designing a set or directing a scene, I’m always thinking about how visual elements can deepen the storytelling and bring a world to life.
